When You Feel... Remember...

When you feel… weary from the world…

Remember… Isaiah 40:28-31 ~ Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.

When you feel… that you are not treasured…

Remember… Psalm 17:7-8 ~ Show the wonder of your great love, you who save by your right hand those who take refuge in you from their foes. Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings.

When you feel… that things do not make sense…

Remember… Proverbs 3:5-6 ~Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.

When you feel…You are not beautiful…

Remember… Psalm 45:11 ~ The King is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for He is your Lord.

When you feel…You are a failure…

Remember… Romans 8:28 ~ And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

When you feel… that no one understands you…

Remember… Psalm 139:2-4,16~ You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you know it completely, O LORD… Your eyes saw my unformed body. All the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

When you feel…You will never find real love in this life…

Remember… Romans 8;38-39 ~ For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,[ neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

When you feel… You have been rejected…

Remember… Psalm 147:3 ~ He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.

When you feel…There MUST be something wrong with you…

Remember… Psalm 139:14 ~ I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.

When you feel…No one cares about you…

Remember… 1 Peter 5:6-7 ~ Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.

When you feel…You are completely alone…

Remember… Joshua 1:9 ~ Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.

When you feel…That your life is worthless…

Remember… Jeremiah 29:11 ~ For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

When you feel…confused and vulnerable…

Remember… Isaiah 41:10 ~ So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

When you feel hopeless…

Remember… Psalm 62:5 ~ Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from him.

When you feel shattered …

Remember… Romans 15:13 - May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever!

Hebrews 13:8

Tiffany,
Very good things to say especially this time of year as the holidays are not pleasant for some. And good things to say at any time of year because the Enemy loves to get us to doubt.
Blessings!

Jim

Thanks, Jim. You are right... holidays can unfortunately be stressful, lonely, and/or sad for so many folks... Focusing on God's truths help me to see beyond feelings and find hope in Christ!
